Loads of data, OK Food vouchers for MTN’s Mega Promo dubbed, “S’magamaga.”

About 21 MTN Eswatini customers have won a total of 70GB data and 30 OK Foods shopping vouchers in the first week of the company’s Mega Promotion dubbed, “S’magamaga.”

Through this promotion, MTN is giving back to customers prizes worth up to E100 000 to enable them to #DoTheMost.  The company is giving away daily food vouchers worth E250 to three lucky customers and 1GB data to 10 customers; E1 000 weekly MoMo cash prizes; E5 000 monthly MoMo cash prizes and a whopping E100 000 grand prize! 

Speaking on the promotion, MTN Corporate Affairs Manager Mandla Luphondvo  said for customeers to win a share of these prizes, all they are expected to do is send a short message services, SMS join to 7080, charged 99 cents per day and answer daily questions to earn points. 

He said this promotion expresses MTN’s aspiration of making customers lives a whole lot brighter.  This promotion was rolled out on the first of February 2021 and will run for three months.

Winners

Thami Dludlu (23), from Ngwenyameni, is one of the daily winners of the E250.00 OK Foods vouchers. Explaining how he joined the competition Dludlu said he joined the competition after receiving an SMS from MTN which invited him to participate if he so wanted. Dludlu completed secondary education at Mvimbeko High School in 2016. He is currently searching for employment and is excited about this promotion. 

“Seeing how this competition is exciting, I have come to appreciate that it caters for all kinds of customers.  At this difficult point in time, I really appreciate any sort of relief, because life can be hard when one is unemployed. I really needed some cash to take care of my basic needs and MTN answered my prayers,” he said. 

After winning in the recent weekly draw, Dludlu has set his eyes on the grand prize worth E100 000, as he believes it could really change his life.

Another winner of the first weekly draw is Sabelo Masina (51), who is a pastor from Mafutseni. Masina said he was prompted to leisurely participate in this promotion after learning about it via an SMS from MTN.  “Because I was relaxing and looking at the fact that I could only lose E0.99 cents, I decided to join the promotion. I was totally surprised on being informed that I had won an OK Foods voucher,” says Masina who comes from a family of four. 

“On that fateful day, we had almost everything we needed accept our favorite starch-rice. MTN miraculously stepped in and made our day. My wife was very surprised,” he added.

 The MTN Corporate Affairs Manager Mandla Luphondvo says the promotion is creating waves of excitement amongst customers. “The interest is palpable, and we are excited to engage with our customers through this promotion”. Luphondvo indicated that MTN is consistently looking at fresh
