Mbabane: Telecommunications giant MTN Eswatini has projected a promising outlook with more digital plans for the year 2021.
This emerged in during the virtual launch of the #DoTheMost Eswatini campaign which carries a strategy that MTN will use to navigate its first quarter of 2021. The campaign is aimed to bring exiting promotions to customers which is expected to have reduced data prices in the first quarter of the year.
Speaking during the Virtual launch MTN Eswatini CEO Wandile Mtshali said the company has broader plans to enable its customers to do the most within the MTN network.
Unpacking the “Do The Most Campaign” MTN Eswatini’s New Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Mncedzi Ngomane said the Campaign comes with new products which MTN will be offering in the first quarter of the year, which are tailor made to take the country towards digital transformation.
Rolling out new digital products MTN has also partnered with Eswatini TV to introduce “TV on the Go” where EmaSwati will be able to watch TV on the mobile phones and enjoy locally produced content and news bulletin on the Eswatini TV app.
With over 600 000 EmaSwati using smartphones in Eswatini, such innovations will enable more of digital data consumption and allow customers to choose on a wide range of local content loaded in the App.
MTN has also introduced special offers to enable clients to have personalized offers for their needs. This will also help in cutting down the cost of data as more thing are now moving digitally.
With new innovations in the new normal MTN has introduced a home office product. This product comes with cheap bundles for your home office. The product consists of a 20GB caped home bundle which cost E250, and other packages which costs up to 100GB for E899.
This new cheap data developments advances efforts to ensure a digitally powered Eswatini with affordable cost of data.
With such offers it is clear that digitally connectivity is at the heart of MTN, and all its activities will continue to be virtual to curb the spread of COVID-19 and switch to the new normal.
Worth noting is that in 2020 MTN was quick to respond to the challenges brought by the covid-19 pandemic by swiftly migrating its offerings and activities to the digital world.
Leading the digital exploration was the MTN Bushfire which took place under the new normal and was hosted virtually, receiving quiet an impressive number of virtual attendees globally.
The MTN spotlight and the MTN SWAMA were also hosted virtually. Also the MTN Premier Soccer League, where soccer was also moved digitally and soccer fans were able to watch and steam games.
