Manzini: Denver Sundowns new signing Solomon Oladele repaid the faith as he scored three goals as ‘Basop iKappa Kappa’ put Mhlume Peacemakers to the sword with a 5-0 bashing.
It was the first hat trick of the MTN Premier League season, achieved in just the second week. The Nigeria-born former Green Mamba and Red Lions striker scored one in the first half and added two after the break at Mavuso Sports Centre on Thursday night to add on Linda Maphalala’s brace, achieved from goals on either side of the half.
The brace took Maphalala to three 2020/21 MTN League goals as he was also on target as Sundowns played to a 2-all draw against cross city rivals Manzini Wanderers in the opening match of the campaign.
The result put Sundowns in joint top spot on the standings along with Young Buffaloes who beat Milling Hotspurs 3-1 on the late fixture ahead of the rest of the weekend week two matches that continue unabated from Friday night.
Sifiso ‘Junior’ Mazibuko netted a brace with Sanele Ngcamphalala also getting his name on the score sheet for the army side while Milling’s only goal came via the boot of Lwazi Bhembe.
