Ezulwini: MTN Eswatini has once again proven to be a true friend to the sporting fraternity in the country.
Football in Eswatini has seen a whooping E18 Million prize money in a three year contract for the top two leagues in the country being the National First Division and the Premier League which translates to E6 million for each season from 2018/19 – 2020/21 football season.
This announcement was confirmed at the sponsorship launch held at the Royal Swazi Spa at Ezulwini on November 9.
Accepting the sponsorship was PLE Head of Administration, Charles Matsebula who thanked the sponsor for contributing to the upbringing of football at Eswatini and further promised that the country’s league will move from the 14th best league in the continent to the top five considering having a sponsor like MTN at hand.
Speaking on behalf MTN was CEO Wandile Mtshali said he hoped his organization would continue sponsoring the soccer leagues in Eswatini and that such would happening for a long time.
