Mbabane: New Mbabane Swallows midfielder Nhlanhla ‘Jive’ Nkosi will have to wait until January to realize his dream move to the money spinning DSTV Premiership.
This was after Baroka FC technical team decided to sign a striker instead in their last foreign slot despite the former Moneni Pirates star impressive trial.
Baroka who are currently second on the South Africa’s Premier Soccer League (PSL) table made the decision this past weekend.
The news were confirmed by the player’s FIFA accredited agent Mandla Maduna.
“Jive did very well to earn a contract but the report we got was that the technical team decided to sign a striker instead. However, it is not all doom for my client as Baroka have invited him over during the January transfer window period,” Maduna said.
Meanwhile, the Bhunya-born star is back in the country training with his new team Swallows in readiness for the MTN Premier League expected to begin later in the month.
Baroka are still without their survival-ensuring head coach Kerr after he was suspended by the club a few weeks ago.
The former Black Leopards coach is yet to appear before the club’s disciplinary committee on allegations related to bringing the club into disrepute.
Bakgaga CEO Richard Mashabane confirmed with KickOff that Kerr remains suspended and his assistant Thoka Matsemela will be calling the shots in the meantime.
