MBABANE – Eswatini-born Grammy-winning artist Manana is back in the spotlight after his latest collaboration with South African rap star Nasty C, Alright, received national radio exposure on Metro FM.
The song was played at 6:52am on Monday, September 7, 2026, during the popular breakfast show Best Mornings with DJ Sabby, with the presenter specifically highlighting Manana’s Eswatini roots before introducing the track to listeners.
The radio moment marks another significant milestone for Manana, whose career continues to place Eswatini on some of Africa’s biggest music platforms.
Released on August 19, 2026, Alright combines Manana’s soulful vocals with Nasty C’s distinctive hip-hop delivery. The collaboration blends R&B, soul and contemporary rap while allowing both artists to maintain their individual sounds.
The track features on Manana’s latest album, It Really Isn’t What It Is, and is among the project’s notable collaborations.
According to the available credits, the song was produced by Manana, MODIKA and Christer.
Manana, whose real name is Ndumiso Manana, has already established an impressive international profile.
In 2021, he became part of a Grammy-winning project after contributing songwriting to Nigerian superstar Burna Boy’s album Twice as Tall. The album won Best Global Music Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards, with Manana contributing to Time Flies, featuring Kenyan group Sauti Sol.
His achievements have continued to grow, with Manana recently named a Standard Bank Young Artist for Music.
The recognition places him among a select group of artists celebrated for their contribution to the region’s creative industry. He is also set to showcase new work at the 2026 Standard Bank Joy of Jazz.
His upcoming appearance will see him represent Eswatini as the Kingdom’s only artist on this year’s Joy of Jazz lineup, scheduled for September 25 and 26 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.
Manana is expected to take to the stage on Saturday, September 26.
Meanwhile, Alright also marks another chapter in his creative relationship with Nasty C.
The two artists previously worked together on Nasty C’s 2023 album I Love It Here, where Manana was among the featured artists. Their latest collaboration now brings their contrasting musical styles together once again.
Nasty C, born Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo, is one of South Africa’s most recognised rap exports, with projects including Strings and Bling, Zulu Man with Some Power, I Love It Here and Free strengthening his position in the African hip-hop scene.
