Mbabane: Mbabane Swallows president Bishop Bheki Lukhele instituted an internal investigation in the ongoing Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa’s transfer saga with its findings clearing General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane.
Team Communications and Marketing Manager Mancoba Mabuza said the capital city giants take seriously recent allegations bordering that there is an official who received E350 000 from South Africa’s TS Sporting regarding the transfer of the club’s former player, Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa.
“That our General Manager Sandile Zwane was involved in the transfer of the player in question, with insinuations of untruthfulness is taken seriously,” he said in a statement released last night.
Accordingly, Mabuza revealed that the Club President Bishop Bheki Lukhele had instructed the Club Management Committee to carry out an internal investigation on the matter. All relevant parties to the matter were involved in the investigations, past and present management members inclusive. “We therefore would like to officially announce that this process has consequently led to that there is no Swallows official who got E350 000 from anyone.
The allegations levelled against our General Manager are not true – for the record, at no stage of the transfer process was he even involved,” he continued.
‘Sikhali’ has been banned from football for two years by the South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) Arbitration after signing two contracts, first with TS Sporting on May 25, 2019 and later with Mbombela United. He went on to play for the latter team the whole of last campaign.
Following the ruling by the PSL Arbitration led by Advocate William Mkhari, Mbombela were docked 23 points, fined a whopping E450 000 and subsequently relegated from the GladAfrica Championship.
