DUBAI — His Excellency President Cde. Dr. E. D. Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe is attending the World Government Summit in the United Arab Emirates, accompanied by a ministerial delegation that includes the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon. Barbara Rwodzi.
On the sidelines of the summit, Hon. Rwodzi met with Emirates Airline leadership, led by Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Adnan Kazim. She acknowledged the airline’s role in the growth, recovery, and global visibility of Zimbabwe’s tourism sector, which contributed to the country being named the World’s Number One Must-Visit Destination by Forbes in 2025.
The discussions focused on improving air connectivity, particularly the potential for a direct route between Dubai and Victoria Falls. The plan would position Victoria Falls International Airport as a KAZA Regional Hub, leveraging the KAZA UniVisa and the airport’s capacity to handle wide-body aircraft, including the Airbus A380.
