Mbabane: Giants’ Mbabane Swallows president Bishop Bheki Lukhele’s leadership has been praised by elders chairman Absalom Ngwenya.

Lukhele who took over the reins at Swallows from Princess Lungile, wife of former boss Victor Gamedze about a year ago was lauded for his great leadership skills and for serving Swallows with unmatched passion by Ngwenya. This was after Bishop Lukhele announced an interim management committee, trimmed to just nine men at the club offices inside the capital.

Bishop Lukhele said as he relieved the AB Dlamini-led MC of its duties, “I’m really greatful for the opportunity to work with such dedicated officials. I sincerely thank the former management committee for their great service to the club”.

Lukhele continued that he was not at Swallows to fire or remove anyone, highlighting that the former MC members are still members of the bigger Mbabane Swallows family and that they will continue to consult with them from time to time.

“However, at this point it is important and necessary for us to right-size so that we work with a smaller team at management level,” Lukhele concluded.

Commenting on the new appointments, elders chairman Ngwenya said, “We commend the former MC members for their loyalty. Let us continue to work together as a family and support the new interim committee that has been announced by the president, as a sign of respect for the president and the entire Mbabane Swallows institution”.
