Matsapha – Thirty-seven officers from various police units across Eswatini have successfully completed a comprehensive Basic Criminal Investigation Department Course at the Matsapha Police Academy.
The course, which wrapped up yesterday, was designed to strengthen the skills and capacity of law enforcement personnel in the Royal Eswatini Police Service. It was officially closed by Deputy National Commissioner Ms. Mumsy Dlamini, who stood in for the National Commissioner.
Ms. Dlamini explained that the training program would play a crucial role in bolstering the police’s efforts to tackle crime in the Kingdom. “This course is foundational in equipping officers with the tools needed to address the evolving nature of crime in our communities,” she said, urging the officers to be proactive in their work.

She further called for the officers to be assertive in their mission to combat crime, stressing the importance of setting clear goals and practicing discipline, professionalism, and passion in their work.
The ten-week course was a collaborative effort, with facilitators from several government bodies, including the Ministry of Justice, Eswatini Communications Commission, Eswatini Environment Authority, and the Anti-Corruption Commission, all contributing their expertise.
