Motshane Inkhundla marked the 2025 International Day of Rural Women with a celebration for graduates of a women’s empowerment and skills training programme. The event, organised by Business Eswatini (BWE) and Vukani BoMake, focused on advancing inclusive and sustainable agri-food systems in Africa under this year’s theme “Empowering Rural Women for Reparatory Justice.”
Hon. Wilton Nkambule, Member of Parliament for Motshane, attended the event and praised the initiative for equipping women with practical skills to support their livelihoods. Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development, Hon. Sikhumbuzo Dlamini, also joined the celebration and committed to working with Vukani BoMake to expand opportunities for women nationwide.
Graduates received sewing machines and raw materials from BWE Chairperson Ms. Tokky Hou, providing them with tools to start entrepreneurial ventures in their communities. Far East Textiles, Vukani BoMake, and the private sector, through Business Eswatini, were recognised for their ongoing support and investment in women’s empowerment and the growth of cottage industries across Eswatini.
