Mbabane – The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development has officially recognised Eswatini’s first homegrown Sectional Title Practitioners, marking a key development in the country’s property sector. The announcement was made today by Minister Appolo Maphalala.
Lindelihle G. Nhlabatsi and Linda Lesolle join three other practitioners trained in South Africa, all gazetted under Legal Notice No. 187 of 2024. The certification follows rigorous examinations conducted by the Sectional Titles Examinations Committee, chaired by Mr. Richard Perry.
Minister Maphalala said the two locally trained practitioners underwent a demanding assessment process and congratulated them on their achievement. He also acknowledged the contributions of Surveyor General Albert Mhlanga, who marked the examination papers, and Professor Jennifer Whittal from the University of Cape Town, who served as moderator.
The ministry confirmed that developers can now submit applications through the Sectional Titles Regulations Board to explore opportunities in Eswatini’s sectional title market.
All five certified practitioners were congratulated, and the ministry called on developers to take advantage of the growing real estate sector.
