LOBAMBA– The Eswatini National Trust Commission (ENTC), in partnership with Rotary Matsapha, today unveiled plans for the third annual Khabane Cave Explorer Walk, an event poised to deepen connections with Eswatini’s rich cultural and natural heritage. Set for June 29, 2025, the walk will guide participants through the stunning Mlawula Nature Reserve, offering an immersive experience that includes an optional overnight camping on June 28.
Speaking at a press briefing this morning at the ENTC Headquarters in Lobamba, Mr. Phinda Manyatsi, representing the ENTC Board Chairperson, explained that the Khabane Cave Explorer Walk extends beyond a simple trek. It is a significant journey intended to celebrate Eswatini’s unique cultural tapestry and its breathtaking landscapes.
“At the core of this initiative lies Khabane Cave, a revered cultural landmark,” Mr. Manyatsi stated. “Through this expedition, we renew our commitment to safeguarding its legacy and fostering a sense of national pride.”
The event, now in its third year, continues to evolve into a nationwide movement that unites communities, honors history, and champions environmental preservation. Mr. Manyatsi extended gratitude to the long-standing partners whose support makes the walk possible: the Rotary Club of Matsapha for their steadfast collaboration, AG Thomas for their continuous sponsorship, All Nations for their foundational support, and Lactalis Eswatini for their valuable contribution in 2024. The ENTC also issued an open invitation for additional sponsors and partners to join this meaningful endeavor.
