EZULWINI – First National Bank (FNB) Eswatini and the FNB Foundation have committed E1.7 million to support the 19th edition of the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (EYA), giving a major boost to small and medium enterprises across the country.
The announcement was made on Tuesday during an official launch held at Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini.
FNB Eswatini CEO Thokozani ‘TK’ Dlamini said the sponsorship will cover cash prizes for both regional and national winners, including a grand prize for the overall national winner.
The funding will also go toward seven key award categories: Youth-Owned, Women-Owned, Most Innovative, Techno-Savvy, Green Business, Agribusiness, and Overall Regional Winner.
“This is a great opportunity for Eswatini’s entrepreneurs to shine and be recognised for their contribution to the economy,” said Dlamini. “We invite all SMEs to submit their entries for EYA 2025.”
The EYA platform has become one of the country’s leading initiatives for recognising excellence in entrepreneurship and supporting business growth at grassroots level. This year’s sponsorship from FNB is among the largest the event has received.
Organisers say the 2025 edition aims to spotlight emerging businesses that are creating jobs, embracing innovation, and contributing to sustainable development across Eswatini.
