MBABANE, Eswatini — Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has conveyed Eswatini’s deep sorrow over the death of Pope Francis, calling it a profound loss for the Catholic Church and people of goodwill around the world.
Speaking on behalf of King Mswati III, Queen Mother Ntombi Tfwala, the government, and the citizens of Eswatini, Dlamini extended heartfelt sympathies to the global Catholic community and all affected by the Pope’s passing.
The Prime Minister described Pope Francis as a beacon of peace, compassion, and unity whose legacy will continue to guide and inspire generations.
“As a nation, we stand with all those grieving,” Dlamini said, adding that the people of Eswatini are united in prayer for strength and comfort for the bereaved.
