MBABANE – The Honourable Minister of Labour and Social Security, Phila Buthelezi, along with members of Parliament, Social Partners, and senior government officials, recently met with the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) in Zambia. The visit aimed to gather insights into Zambia’s successful transformation of its provident fund into a national pension fund.
The benchmarking exercise is part of Eswatini’s efforts to learn from other countries that have undergone similar pension system conversions. The delegation sought to understand the processes and challenges involved in the development of NAPSA.
The visit will be followed by a benchmarking trip to Seychelles, known for its successful pension scheme in the southern region.
