Ezulwini – MTN Eswatini hosted its annual Transcend Leadership Summit, bringing together key industry leaders to engage in high-level discussions on resilience, adaptability, and strategic execution. Since its inception in 2023, the summit has grown into a premier platform for leadership excellence, aligning with MTN Group’s vision and insights from the Global Leadership Gathering (GLG) conference in South Africa.
Themed “Thriving for Clarity in Times of Uncertainty: Adapt, Execute and Be Resilient,”this year’s summit focused on equipping leaders with the skills needed to navigate today’s rapidly changing business landscape. The event featured influential keynote speakers who shared invaluable strategies to enhance leadership effectiveness in challenging environments.
The opening day saw insightful discussions led by renowned experts in leadership and strategy. Standard Bank Eswatini CEO Mvuselelo Fakudze underscored the importance of resilience, sharing inspiring stories of overcoming adversity. Sian Louw, CEO of The K3y, emphasized the power of execution, offering practical tools to turn strategy into action. Dr. Manoj Chiba, an associate professor at the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), delivered an impactful session on adaptability, highlighting the need for flexibility and responsiveness in uncertain times.
The second day of the summit provided attendees with hands-on leadership techniques to enhance execution and agility. Leadership expert Dr. Mongezi Makhalima delivered a compelling session on the role of agility in leadership, encouraging leaders to embrace vulnerability to build trust and resilience within their teams.
MTN Group’s Jerry Joko reinforced the organization’s commitment to leadership excellence and innovation, providing key insights into the group’s strategic direction. Later, Thandazile (TD) Dlamini led an engaging session aimed at sharpening strategic leadership approaches.
Adding a dynamic and interactive element to the summit, MTN Group FinTech’s Social Media Manager, Lynette Maja, energized the audience with her engaging facilitation style, ensuring that key leadership insights were not only shared but also internalized.
