The High Commission of India in Mbabane has announced a scholarship opportunity for students from Eswatini under the Quad STEM Scholarship Scheme for the 2025-26 academic year. The fully funded scholarship covers a four-year undergraduate engineering degree in India, with applications open exclusively through an online portal.
Aspiring candidates can begin submitting applications via the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) A2A Scholarship Portal from February 20, 2025. The deadline for submissions is April 30, 2025, with universities set to finalize admissions decisions by May 31, 2025. Selected students must confirm acceptance by June 22, 2025.
Eligibility criteria stipulate that applicants must be between 18 and 40 years old as of July 1, 2025. For Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses, students must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the senior secondary level. Academic transcripts for Grades 10 to 12 are required for verification.
Candidates can apply to up to five universities in order of preference. A mandatory 500-word essay in English will be used to assess language proficiency, though standardized test scores such as TOEFL or IELTS may also be submitted. Some universities may conduct online interviews as part of the selection process.
The scholarship covers return economy-class airfare and tuition fees. However, applicants must ensure they meet health requirements and provide genuine documentation. The High Commission reserves the right to reject applications that fail to meet these criteria. Prospective students are encouraged to research courses, eligibility requirements, and institutional details before applying.
For inquiries, applicants should contact the High Commission via email at inf.mbabane@mea.gov.in. Walk-in visits are not permitted without prior appointment.
